List of the best scenic viewpoints in Barcelona:
Tibidabo
Probably the best place is You want to enjoy a really wide view of the town. El Tibidabo is the highest peak of the mountain ridge Sierra de Collserola which embraces Barcelona from the western side. It´s also known as “Magical mountain”.
This place is not only a great place to observe the city from heights but also a place of the oldest amusement park in Spain. The viewpoint itself, or the platform in the middle of the park is accessible free of charge and provides a spectacular super-wide view of Barcelona from the height of 512 meters.
There are two main ways how to reach Tibidabo. The standard way is reaching on the road by car or the bus, however, there is a much more interesting way of transport to the top. Get from the downtown to Placa del Doctor Andreu and from there use a steep rack train to the top.
Sagrada Familia
Sagrada Familia is not only the most important of all Gaudí’s buildings. It´s also the most emblematic and the most visited sight in Barcelona. The sight constantly occupies the top 10 most visited sights of entire Spain. The construction works started already in 1882 and still continues till today.
The downside of the visit is the price. In case You wish to visit towers prepare to pay 38 Euro per person. Sagrada Familia is one of the most visited attractions in Barcelona. Therefore I recommend visiting the cathedral early in the morning to avoid crowds.
Nevertheless once You ascent to the top of the tower You will be amazed by the 360 degrees view around the downtown of Barcelona. In my eyes, this place belongs to the list of top viewpoints in Barcelona.

Park Güell
Park Güell is an extensive area of nature just above Barcelona at the foot of mountain Turó del Carmel. Initially planned as a garden town, but this intention was never realized. The complex of buildings and decorations was built between 1900 – 1914.
In order to get the best view of Barcelona at the forefront of the famous Gaudí building, You will have to pay 10 EUR for entrance to the park. If You don´t feel like paying don´t discourage from visiting the place. You can walk in a wast park out of the monument area with great views too.
Once You are here I fully recommend you to walk to the top of the mountain. This place will not only give You an amazing overview of Barcelona but the entire 360 degrees view to all directions.

Bunkers of Carmel
The bunkers of Carmel is a viewpoint from which you can see the whole city of Barcelona (360º city view). Also, the best place to watch a sunset in Barcelona. Make sure You will arrive the afternoon before sunset and take your place as this place can be quite busy in summer as it belongs to the romantic spot for lovers searching for viewpoints in Barcelona.
This place was actually the anti-aircraft warfare during the Spanish civil war. Despite being known as Bunkers, there has never been any bunker at the top of the hill named Turó de la Rovira.
Montjuic Castle
Montjuïc hill in southern Barcelona is home for sportive people and green getaway from the city rush. The area was also the center of the Olympic games in 1992. Nowadays it is home to the famous football team FC Barcelona.
The Montjuïc Castle was a strategical defense point of the town and was reopened to the public in 2008. You don´t need to necessarily enter the place to enjoy views of the town, but make sure you will make at least a walk around the castle. There are more viewpoints of Barcelona around. The Northern viewpoint lets you see the town and the southern viewpoint lets you see the magnificent industrial port of Barcelona.
For those who love motion, I recommend to take the cable car and enjoy a slow ride with breathtaking views of the town.
La Pedrera
Casa Milá also is known as „La Pedrera“ which means the stone quarry was built between 1906 – 1910. The house was higher and wider than maximally allowed dimensions. The owner received many penalizations and the house was close to partial demolition. Thanks to this fact we can enjoy quite a nice view directly in the center of Barcelona.
As this site is a UNESCO heritage it´s fairly popular. Get here early morning or later afternoon to avoid crowds and get ready to pay close to 30 Euro per person.
